April Status update

As life can tend to go, one needs to roll with what changes life will throw.

At present time, my “three 1:1’s and a HIIT” schedule is not going to be returned to, unless I begin to work with someone new, away from Better Living Personal Training. That’s okay.

What my present plans are, are going to be working with Better Living Personal Training to have them provide the workout programs and routines, and I go execute them on my own. This will kick up a bit more in a couple weeks after my final post-surgery followup appointment.

The primary reason I’ve been working with a trainer so steadily since 2015 is that programming aspect. If I was just on my own, I’d maybe show up and if I did, it’d be predominantly cardio only. With whoever I was working with handling the routine as well, over-cardio’ing was never an issue.

As I’ve shown with my light workouts for my left arm/wrist/hand, over the course of April, as well as some previous times in later 2024, if I have the programming, I’m able to show up and go through with it. As a whole, I (should) know the movements, as I’ve done them enough times over the past near 10 years. So why not continue from here solo-ish?

Yes, I’m going to lose out on some socializing and someone to talk to for a bit. But who knows, maybe I’ll make some new friends as well? Assuming I make myself approachable enough and pause the music I’m not used to having.

I do think I’m going to have to count myself out of the running for the 1000 pound club at this point in time. Most specifically for the bench press portion of it all. Deadlifts I believe I’d still be overall good with, even with the wrist, as straight wrist/pulling has not been much trouble. Back squat won’t be an issue as that’s largely legs anyway.

Also with less potential help of a spotter, I suspect I’ll focus more on machine than free weights, but won’t disregard completely.
