Final checkin notes from the operating doctor

Michael Beckwith he presents to clinic for recheck of his left wrist. He has been attending formal therapy and is progressing well. He rates his pain 0 out of 10. He has been working on upper extremity strengthening modalities at the gym without complication. He has been able to perform push-ups without pain or complication.

On exam, mild keloid at the distal aspect of his incision. Otherwise, well-healed incision. Wrist motion is excellent today. Every 87 degrees of wrist extension, 7 degrees of wrist flexion. Full digit motion. 25 degrees of ulnar deviation, 20 degrees of radial deviation.

Michael is doing well. From my perspective, he can resume a home exercise program working on continued wrist motion and strengthening. He can discontinue formal therapy. He can resume activities as tolerated. I did discuss operative findings of degenerative changes of his wrist at the time of surgery. I discussed the progression of wrist arthritis given operative findings and his injury. He voiced understanding. From my perspective, he will follow-up as needed. I am happy to see him back at any time.
