Deeper State Keto Consultation Summary

Had my 1st of two, 30min-ish consultation calls with Greg today, and all in all, everything went well.

We’ve known of each other via Instagram for awhile, and I’ve technically learned about him via his podcast “The Work” with Robert Sikes. However, since I’m not a very active poster and/or broadcaster, he didn’t know much about me. So this was a chance for a bit of that.

The nutrition/diet part of the call went smooth as we were already largely on the same page. He is having me adjust my macros in a way that I wasn’t completely expecting. Instead of the 180P/180F/25C split that I have now, he’s going to have me go to 110P/220F/20-25C to work on getting into a deeper overall ketogenic state. I’m going to start that after the 18th when I intend to get my next InBody scan as part of my “what happens after a month of no booze” composition experiment. Just need to figure out how I’m going to best handle increased fats. Since I have been toying with the idea of reducing Quest/1st Phorm reliance, that’ll help reduce my protein already.

The fitness/gym portion of the call was the main reason I purchased the consult in the first place, as I wanted to get some feedback on the 2 day and 3 day splits that I programmed for myself. Greg said that both sounded pretty solid.

I’m proud of that and one would hope that I could handle something after 10+ years now of going to the gym, even if 2025/2026 have been tumultuous at best. It’s still a reassuring feeling coming from a WNBF Pro.

We shall be aiming to get the gym time returned to starting around the 21st. We’ll get my current weights established at that time, and move forward from there.
